Random Poetry

Consciousness

Expectations

Are you but a single drop of water,

within the endless universe.

Are you but a thought, inside an idea,

in a flash of light.

Are you but a brief moment

within the vast oceans of time.

Are you but a chirp of sound,

without echo in the night.

or are you just random interconnectedness

of random atoms almost empty

appearing in the same random space

within the infinite void of nothing.

Overwhelmed by others' pleas

Expectations of who I should be

Too many versions, too much me

Ripped part for others' needs

I don't know who or what they want

Only know that I am not enough

The person that I know I am

Is lost amongst others' demands
